To get at the EVAP canister located between the left-rear wheel and its bracket, first remove the rear bumper facia. First, take out one brace bolt and loosen the bolts of the two support bracket nuts. After that, unmount the upper/rear support bracket by removing the bolt and set it aside with the help of rope or string before working on the lines. Disconnect the vacuum and vapor lines at the EVAP canister, remove its mounting bolt and lift the canister from its bracket using the two alignment pins. When installing, place the canister onto the mounting bracket, push the pins into their holes and bolt it in place following the given torque limits. Securely join the vapor/vacuum lines to the canister, review them for possible damage and inspect the LDP, LDP filter and EVAP canister purge solenoid so any leaks are quickly spotted. Support bracket assembly must be returned to its frame rail and bolted with the support bracket brace bolt, plus two support bracket nuts. After that, replace the rear bumper facia.
