First, keep the accelerator pedal up while entering the vehicle, then remove the plastic clip and the inner cable part from the upper end of the arm. Remove the wire in the cable core at the pedal arm next, then squeeze the tabs on each side of the cable housing retainer at the dashboard to pull out and remove the housing. Afterwards, open the air box at the
Throttle Body and take off the cable from the routing clip on the dash panel. When the engine is cold, hold the wide open position and then move the throttle cable pin out of the bellcrank. Take out a pick or small screwdriver to press the release tab gently, so you don't damage it and separate the cable from the bracket. then move the throttle cable forward to take it off. Insert the accelerator cable plastic mount into the throttle body bracket until the notch in the plug fits into the hole in the bracket. To engage the throttle, place the throttle cable pin inside the throttle body bellcrank while keeping the throttle open full. Feel through the plastic wall of the car until you locate the opening through which the cable housing should be pushed. Insert the housing, then push through the remaining end of the cable until the tabs snap into the dash panel. Inside the cabin, insert the thin core cable into the hole at the top of the pedal arm and force the plastic cover over the cable into the opening in the pedal arm. Reconnect the air box to the throttle body and use the accelerator pedal to see that there's no restriction.
