2000 Dodge Viper MAP Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install a MAP Sensor on 2000 Dodge Viper?
A: A manifold absolute pressure sensor is installed on the driver's side of the engine's intake manifold. Unplug the connector from the sensor first, then remove all the screws that hold it in place. The sensor's vacuum hose goes to a vacuum on the intake manifold plenum and is removed when you pull the sensor and hose off the manifold. For installation, set the sensor and vacuum hose in place over the intake manifold, use the mounting screws to secure everything, tightening them to 3 Nm (23 in. lbs.) and finally attach the electrical connector.
