  A: Always be very careful while servicing the turn signal flasher on vehicles with air bags, since an unexpected air bag release could be dangerous. Remove the negative lead from the battey as the first step. Pull off the trim piece above the steering column and remove the combination flasher from the underside plug in the junction box. Before installing, put the combination flasher in the receptacle in the junction block so that the terminals are in line with the terminal cavities. Carefully press down on the combination flasher until all terminals are positioned inside the housing. Afterward, set the opening cover for the steering column back into place and reconnect the negative battery cable.
