How to Safely Service a Headlight Switch on 2000 Jeep Wrangler?

When servicing the headlamp switch, take precautions on airbag equipped vehicles. Allow dimmer resistor to cool down, disconnect the battery and pull the control knob to ON position. Access and remove the switch and disconnect the wire harness and put it back into place by reversing the process. Finally, hook up the battery again.
