How to Properly Service and Repair a Brake Line Using ISO Flaring on 2001 Dodge Durango?

You should use a preformed metal brake tube whenever possible for brake hose and line service and repair, but when you can't get a factory part, double-wall steel tube is an acceptable alternative. To make an ISO flare, cut off the damaged part using a Tubing Cutter and then smooth out all inside burrs. After that, install the tube nut onto the tube and set the tube into the flaring tool so it sits flush with the top of the tool bar before tightening the bar. Attach the right-size adaptor onto the flaring tool's yoke and after, coat it with lube for a smooth job. After that, adjust the adaptor along the tube and use the yoke screw to set the adaptor right on the bar until it is firmly set.
