How to Service the Rear Brake Disc on 2001 Dodge Neon?

To access the rear brake disc, raise the car, undo the nuts and remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. After that, take off the rear disc brake caliper from the disc and store it elsewhere. Take out the clips securing the brake disc to the wheel and pull the disc straight off the mounting studs. Before changing the brake disc, inspect disc brake shoes and parking brake shoes. Lift the rear brake disc onto the wheel mounting studs and fit the caliper onto the hub after that. After completing the tire, put the wheel back onto the axle and secure the wheel mounting nuts to a torque of 136 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). If necessary, adjust the parking brake shoes, lower the vehicle and pump the brake pedal to let the brake shoes hit the brake disc before you move it.
