  A: Before servicing the blower motor, disconnect the air bag negative cable from the battery, wait two minutes for the air bag system capacitor to discharge and after that disable the air bag system. Open the housing by unscrewing the three Torx or flat-bladed screws that hold the blower motor and wheel inside, then take out the assembly from the housing. After that, unclip the retaining clip on the blower wheel and lift the wheel from the shaft. Attach the blower wheel hub by placing it flush on the blower motor shaft's flat end. Place the retainer clip over the hub, insert the blower motor into the HVAC base and hold it in place with the three mounting screws, tightening to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Afterwards, link the blower motor's wire harness to the socket and attach the negative cable on the vehicle battery.
