How to Service and Repair a Brake Light Switch on 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

To fix the brake light switch, take the steering column cover and lower trim panel off. Press the brake pedal, and rotate the switch counter clockwise to unlock and disconnect the harness. For installation, extend the plunger and connect the harness, switch in place and turn clockwise and lock. Do not exceed a 20 lbs pull on the pedal.
