How to Service and Repair a Rear Sway Bar Kit on 2001 Jeep Wrangler?

Before servicing the rear sway bar kit, raise and support the vehicle. Loosen and remove the bolts of the sway bar kit from the frame first and then do the same for the bolts at the links. After that, unbolt the sway bar kit retainer bolts and retainers from the axle mounts to get the kit out. For fitting, attach the sway bar kit to the axle mounts with an even space on each side and above the differential, install the retainers and clamp them with bolts tightened to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Set the links into the frame mounts and onto the sway bar kit, fastening them with the bolts and nuts only by hand. Remove all support and reduce the frame height, then tighten the link nuts/bolts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
