Then, remove the retainer bolts and retainers from the axle mounts before you take out the sway bar kit itself. Set the sway bar kit between the axle mounts, making sure it is in the center and above the differential. Then put on the retainers and tighten the bolts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Attach the sway bar kit and frame mounts by inserting the bolts and nuts and tightening them just enough with your fingers. Tighten the link nuts/bolts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.) after you have lowered the car on its own wheels.
