How to Remove and Install a Blower Motor on 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

There's no need to remove the unit housing to take out the blower motor which is on the bottom right side inside. On vehicles that have air conditioning, first remove the scuff plate from the right side and pull back the carpet. Remove the wire from the blower motor by taking out the wiring connector. After that, unscrew the retaining bolts on the blower motor and lower the motor out of the chassis. If your vehicle doesn't have air conditioning, take out the blower motor's connector, grab the blower, pull down the tab and turn it counterclockwise a bit to take out the assembly. For installation in vehicles with air conditioning, put the blower motor inside the housing, fasten the retaining screws, fit the wire harness, replace the right side carpet and put in the right side scuff plate. For cars that do not have air conditioning, set the blower motor in its housing and spin it clockwise until the tab clicks into place, a little less than one-quarter turns.
