How to Service and Repair a Parking Brake Cable on 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

In order to fix the parking brake cable, remove the battery, and release the airbag capacitor and block tires. Pull out the center console, pull off the parking brake cables and gain access to the back end brakes. Install newly created cable, reassembly and set to check that everything works correctly by cycling the parking brake lever and reconnecting battery.
