2002 Dodge Dakota Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service a Brake Master Cylinder on 2002 Dodge Dakota?
A: Start by disconnecting the brake line, unplugging the fluid level alarm and getting rid of the mounting nuts so the brake master cylinder comes off. Bleeding the brake master cylinder is essential before you install it. After that, fit the new brake master cylinder onto the booster at its studs, fasten it against each stud using nuts tightened to 18 Nm (160 inch lbs.) and then link up the brake lines, sealing them with nuts that have been tightened to 19 Nm (170 inch lbs.). Attach the low fluid level switch connection and bleed the brake lines on the base booster after that.
