Q: How to Service and Repair a Brake Master Cylinder on 2001 Dodge Dakota?
A: Removal of the brake lines from the brake master cylinder should be carried out first, then the mounting nuts can be removed. With everything removed, you can get the brake master cylinder out. Confirm to bleed the cylinder once it is changed before installing it. Then, fit the brake master cylinder over the booster mounting bolts and attach them with four 18 Nm (160 inch lbs.) mounting nuts. After that, fix the brake lines and tighten them so they reach 19 Nm (170 inch lbs.). Lastly, fully fill the base brake system to complete everything.
