First use an R-134a refrigerant recovery machine to remove the refrigerant from the A/C system, then replace the A/C suction hose/line. The next step is to remove the retaining bolt form the expansion valve and the line from the expansion valve and the line from the compressor. The procedure for installation is as such, first to attach suction line at the compressor and then the suction line at the expansion valve. Set the expansion valve in place and attach it with the retaining bolt. At last, evacuate the A/C system and recharge the refrigerant system.
