How to Replace an A/C Hose on 2001 Dodge Neon?

To take out the old A/C suction hose, first capture the coolant with an R-134a refrigerant recovery machine. Remove the bolt above the expansion valve next and take out the line from the expansion valve. After that, remove the line going to the compressor. The suction line on the compressor needs to be connected first and then the expansion valve connection is installed. Set up the expansion valve in the position shown in the instructions and tighten it with the retaining bolt. In the end, remove the A/C system entirely and then recharge the refrigerant system.
