• Q: How to Replace the Evaporator in an Evaporator/Blower Module on 2002 Dodge Neon?

  A: You need to change the Evaporator/Blower module if the aluminum plate or Evaporator's fin style is leaking or damaged. Disconnect the heater-a/c housing before you start working on the rest. It applies when there is a need for service to the evaporator, your air inlet duct, the heater core or your heating and air conditioning housing. At the beginning, remove the foam seals attaching the evaporator line to the rest of the system and the air distribution outlets in the dash panel. Remove the fin sensing probe from the harness and next take out the upper to lower case retaining clip and screws before pulling the case apart. Take out the evaporator from its position in the module to remove it. Mount the evaporator in the module, secure the case's halves and attach the clip and screws for retention. Afterwards, connect the fin sensing probe and readjust the foam seals both at the evaporator line and the dash panel's air outlets. When all else is done, fit the heater-a/c body, vent the system and charge it as required.
