2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on 2002 Dodge Ram 1500?
A: On the left side of the intake manifold plenum, you'll find the intake manifold temperature (IMT) sensor. Remove the electrical connection from the IMT sensor and then clean any debris from around the sensor site. After that, gently pull the small release tab and rotate the sensor 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove it. While you are doing this, check to see if the sensor's O-ring is in good condition. Check that the sensor O-ring is not damaged and take care to clean the sensor area in the intake manifold. As you rotate the sensor clockwise into the pipe, it should pass through the tab in the release spot once you reach that part.
