2003 Chrysler Sebring Air Bag Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service an Air Bag Sensor on 2003 Chrysler Sebring?
A: The first step is to separate the black negative cable from the battery remote terminal, let the system reserve capacitor discharge for two minutes and then work on any air bag components. Open the lower B-pillar door and take out the trim on the same side of the car. Next, separate the connector for the satellite acceleration sensor (SAS). After that, undo the SAS retaining screws and take the sensor out of your vehicle. While installing, insert the SAS into the B-pillar so the electrical connector points forward and screw it into place with the retaining screws tightened to 7 N.m (62 in. lbs.). Snap the lower B-pillar trim into its place, making sure to connect the spell-reverse switch. The battery negative cable remote terminal should not be connected until the test of the air bag system is complete.
