2003 Dodge Durango PCV Valve Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install the PCV Valve on the Oil Filler Tube on 2003 Dodge Durango?
A: Two tabs secure the PCV valve on the oil filler tube inside a cam lock and an O-ring keeps the gasoline sealed inside. To start, disconnect the PCV line by pulling free the rubber hose at the valve fitting. After that, turn the valve slowly downward (counter-clockwise) until you feel the locating tabs escape the cam lock and draw the valve straight out, pointing it downward to prevent harm to the tabs. After taking the O-ring off, see what condition the ring is in. During installation, slide the valve's tabs into the cam lock on the oil filler and, with pressure, bring the valve partly up until a slight sound is heard. After preparing, connect the PCV line and rubber hose to the valve once last time.
