You should wear eye protection and keep anything flammable away from fuel lines before starting to take care of the exhaust pipe. First, take off the negative cable from the battery and lift the vehicle with a hoist. Disconnect the tailpipe from the rear hangar and, after that, undo the clamp holding the tailpipe to the muffler. Burn the link with an oxygen/acetylene torch and turn the tailpipe on its side to remove it. The first step in installation is to connect the tailpipe to the muffler, place the exhaust clamp on the pipe and turn the bolts by hand. Next, put the tailpipe hanger in place, move the tailpipe so it fits and tighten the clamps on it to 42 Nm (31 ft. lbs.). After that, move the car back to ground level, secure the negative cable to the battery, start the engine and examine the exhaust pipes for leaks.
