2003 Jeep Liberty Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Speed Sensor on the Rear Wheel on 2003 Jeep Liberty?
A: Before fixing the rear wheel speed sensor, lift the vehicle on a hoist and release the sensor wire harness. After that, remove the mounting stud from the sensor and pull out the sensor. When setting up the installation, securely seal the harness between the sensor and the sensor's wiring connector. If the O-ring has been taken out, install it on the sensor and slide the sensor into the differential housing. Press the sensor mounting stud in, then secure it to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.) and install the sensor electrical connector last. After that, lower the vehicle.
