Remove the negative cable from the car battery and then hoist the car up on your jack before any Transmission Speed Sensor servicing. After that, disconnect the speed sensor connector and unscrew the output speed sensor, inspecting the O-ring as you go. If it looks damaged, change it. Put the O-ring in place during installation and tighten the input speed sensor to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Following that, connect the speed sensor connector again and secure the battery negative cable.
