2005 Chrysler Crossfire ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an ABS Control Module in the Hydraulic Control Assembly on 2005 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: For the Hydraulic Control Unit (Hcu) in the antilock brakes, first clean the top of the Hcu around the 1-6 hydraulic lines, to prevent any debris from getting into the holes. Stick markers on the hydraulic brake lines and their links at the Hcu, so you can easily attach them when you replace the plugs. Remove the connector leading from the hydraulic controller unit to the Cab, then, gently push the hydraulic lines out of the way so you can lift out the Hcu. Check the rubber grommets as you install them to see if they are worn out. If they are, replace them. To install the lines correctly, use the markings to guide you and keep from driving screws into different threads. Place the brake lines as instructed, attach the hydraulic control unit harness connector to the Cab, drain the air from the brake system and then attach the Drbiii to handle troubleshooting.
