2005 Chrysler Crossfire Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install a Rear Brake Disc on 2005 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: First, raise the vehicle at a service station and put jack stands underneath, then remove the wheel and tire. Then, remove the caliper mounting bolts and unfasten the caliper from the knuckle so it is safely held while you work. Remove the bolt that holds the brake disc after that and take the brake disc from the wheel hub. To install, attach the brake disc to the wheel hub by screwing in the brake disc retaining bolt until you reach 10 Nm of force. Slide the caliper assembly back onto the brake disc and fit and tighten the bolts to 55 Nm. After that, replace the wheel and tire, lower the car, press the brake pedal and check that the calipers and brake pads have seated properly so the pedal presses firmly before ignoring the car again.
