2006 Chrysler Crossfire ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair the ABS Control Module on 2006 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: First, cut the negative battery cable and clean the top of the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) where the hydraulic lines join it, before servicing and repairing the Electronic Brake Control Module. Put marks on all hydraulic brake lines and connectors at the HCU before removing and plugging the lines. After that, unplug the Controller Antilock Brake (CAB) harness connector and remove all of the screws from the Integrated Control Unit (ICU). Slowly lift the ICU, nudging the hydraulic brake lines outward with the other hand as you do, then take out the screws holding the CAB to the HCU and separate the CAB from the HCU. First, join the CAB to the HCU using the screws, inspect and replace the ICU rubber grommets if needed and secure the ICU to the retaining bracket on the machine using more screws. Follow the routing of the hydraulic lines to the appropriate wheel and connect them before attaching the brake lines (1-6) being sure to notice the markings. Attach the CAB harness, link the negative battery cable, drain the brake system and remember to erase the error codes in the vehicle's computer.
