2005 Dodge Dakota Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Repair a Brake Disc on 2005 Dodge Dakota?
A: You should raise the vehicle, support it, take off the wheel and then remove the brake rotor/disc. Now, unscrew the caliper and the adapter bolts from the steering knuckle and carefully remove the caliper adapter assembly, so that the brake hose does not help support it. Get rid of the rotor from the hub/bearing. After you place the rotor onto the hub/bearing, fit the caliper adapter assembly and then tighten the adapter bolts to 176 Nm (130 ft. lbs.). Place the wheel and tire back in position, bring the vehicle down to the ground and press the brake pedal a number of times to settle the brakes.
