  A: Remove the battery cable from the minus side and put the car onto a hoist before starting service on the windshield washer pump. Remove the wire connector from the washer hose at the pump and the reservoir pump, emptying the reservoir as you do this. Peel the pump out from around the grommet in the reservoir, making sure not to damage the reservoir. Take out the rubber grommet from the reservoir; put aside the old one if you're changing the pump, but keep it if just changing the reservoir. Always fit a brand new grommet during a washer pump replacement. Attach the rubber grommet into the reservoir, place the pump in the hole and secure both parts by tightly snapping the pump into the grommet. Connect the washer hose to the pump outlet and add cleaning solution into the reservoir, after that reconnect the proper wire harness to the reservoir pump. Take the car off the hoist and attach the negative battery cable again.
