2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: This sensor which monitors IMT, is located on the left side of the intake manifold plenum. You should first take out the connector from the IMT sensor to remove it. Cleaning any debris from around the sensor base, carefully lift the little plastic release, then twist the sensor counter-clockwise about a quarter turn to remove it. Make sure the sensor's O-ring is in good shape. Be sure to inspect the O-ring and wipe clean the sensor opening in the intake manifold for installation. Set the sensor into the intake manifold and spin it clockwise until it comes over the release pin, then attach the electrical connector.
