2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee MAP Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install a MAP Sensor on 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: The MAP sensor is located in front of the intake manifold and is held on with two screws. Before getting rid of the sensor, unplug the connector, clean nearby and remove the two screws holding it in place. After you have removed the sensor, examine the O-ring to make sure it is OK. Clean around the MAP sensor mounting area, examine the O-ring for damage and only then place the sensor into the manifold. Screw the mounting screws to the correct specification and reconnect the electrical connector.
