In order to fix the ignition switch, begin with the key in the cylinder. Take off the lower steering column cover, lock cylinder and multi-function switch. Unscrew the ignition switch, loosen it and connect a new switch with the key facing the right way up. Disassemble, reconnect components, and verify that everything is working properly, then reconnect.
