How to Service the Rear Door Check on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before adjusting the rear door check, place the glass all the way up and remove the door trim to get access. After that, loosen the bolts (3) holding the check strap and remove the check strap seal from the end of the door frame. At this stage, eliminate the bolts fastening the check strap (3) to the door end frame and take it out of the vehicle. If you set up the door handle first, you will ensure the door does not close on the latch and become stuck. Attach the check strap to the top of the door and set the tp attach the bolts into the door end frame. When the seal on the hinge is damaged, replace it and then use the bolts to fasten the strap to the hinge pillar. In the end, connect the water shield and reattach the door trim panel.
