How to Safely Service and Install a Headlight Switch on 2006 Dodge Durango?

Before handling the headlamp switch on cars with air bags, you should disable the system designed to protect you in case of a crash. On the negative side of the battery, isolate the negative cable, then take a two-minute break for the system capacitor to discharge. Take the cluster bezel off the instrument panel first and then disconnect the wire connector from within the back of the headlamp switch. Unscrew the three fasteners holding the switch from the cluster bezel and take out the switch from the car. During installation, locate the switch of your headlight behind the cluster bezel and fasten the three screws to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). Attach the electrical wire harness back to the switch on the back of the headlamp, slide the instrument panel bezel into place and link the negative battery cable afterwards.
