2006 Dodge Durango Ignition Lock Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair an Ignition Lock Cylinder on 2006 Dodge Durango?
A: For ignition lock cylinder service or repair, first take off the negative battery cable and pull out the steering column shroud. Place the shifter in PARK and then insert the ignition key into the opening where you insert your key to remove it from the ignition. Place the key in the RUN setting and press in on the retaining pin with a small punch as you pull the key cylinder out of the ignition lock. Remove the key cylinder and key from the column after installation and put the key in the cylinder again. Line up the cylinder end with the ignition and push it in until it clicks. In the end, place back the lower shroud and attach the battery again.
