How to Remove and Install the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on 2006 Dodge Ram 1500?

You can find the intake manifold temperature (IMT) sensor on the left side inside the plenum area. To get rid of the sensor, begin by taking out the connector, then clean any dirt found at the base of the sensor on the intake manifold. Rotate the sensor counterclockwise roughly a quarter turn after lifting up the release tab and always look at the sensor O-ring at the same time. Making sure the O-ring is not damaged and cleaning the mounting area for the sensor in the intake manifold is important for installation. Put the sensor into the intake manifold and rotate it clockwise until the release tab is passed and then join the connector to the electrical terminal.
