2006 Jeep Commander Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain a Speed Sensor on the Rear Wheel on 2006 Jeep Commander?
A: Make sure the vehicle is raised and supported before dealing with the rear wheel speed sensor. Take the bolt out of the rear support plate and remove the wheel speed sensor from its position on the plate. Unplug the electrical wire from the wheel speed sensor. Push the wheel speed sensor through the lower support plate and apply a torque of 12 - 14 Nm (106 - 124 inch lbs.) to the bolt. Attach the wire from the wheel speed sensor to the routing clips, so it will not touch any elements that spin. Afterward, plug the wheel speed sensor connector into its socket and lower the vehicle after finishing the work.
