How to Service and Repair a Control Arm Bushing in the Lower Suspension Arm on 2006 Jeep Liberty?

Take out the lower suspension arm and use a vise to hold it securely before you start the repair or service. Coat the threaded parts of the tool with very thick grease to help it last longer and operate smoothly during any use. Set up special tools 8862-4 (receiver), 8862-5 (spacer) and 8862-1 or 8862-2 (driver) together with the threaded rod 8839 and the bearing, press the bushing out and then follow the steps below. When installing, lubricate the threaded aspects of the tool with a lot of pressure. Insert the lower suspension arm bushing using 8862-3, 8862-4, 8862-5 and 8839 (the bearing with the threaded rod) so that it is oriented correctly in the arm. Once done, take the suspension arm out of the vise and attach the lower suspension arm to its original spot on the truck.
