How to Service and Repair a Control Arm Bushing in the Upper Suspension Arm on 2005 Jeep Liberty?

The first step to work on the upper suspension arm bushing is to remove the arm and set it in a vise. Apply strong grease to the metal threaded parts of the tools in order to keep them working well and increase their life cycle. Press out the bushing by using special tools such as 8853-3 (driver), 8860-1 (receiver), the threaded rod 8838 and a bearing. Apply strong lubrication once more, then insert the new upper suspension arm bushings into the upper suspension arm using tools 8835-3 (receiver), 8860-2 (driver) and threaded rod 8838 and check that the bushing is in the correct position. At last, take out the lower suspension arm from the vise and put the upper arm back in place.
