A: To fix or repair the wheel bearing, lift the vehicle, take off the tire and wheel, after that the caliper adapter and make sure you secure the caliper to protect the hose. Following that, take the disc brake rotor off, unfasten the wheel speed sensor and the bracket for its wire. If your truck uses four-wheel drive, take out the nut from the drive shaft and remove all the bolts connecting the hub or bearing assembly, then remove the assembly from the vehicle. To install, put the hub/bearing assembly on the vehicle and bolt it down with the three bolts tightened to 130 Nm (96 ft. lbs.). When four-wheel drive is involved, fit and tighten the axle shaft nut to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.) Put back the bracket for the wheel speed sensor wire and fasten the sensor to the end of the hub with a bolt that is 13.5 Nm (10 ft. lbs.). Then, install the disc brake rotor and disc brake caliper adapter, tightening the nut to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.) and attach the tire and wheel assembly once more.
