2006 Jeep Liberty Power Steering Pump Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service a Power Steering Pump on 2006 Jeep Liberty?
A: Before working on the power steering pump, you should drain out as much fluid as you can. Then, detach the serpentine drive belt and then pull off the power steering high pressure hose and the return pipe at the pump. After that, take out the three bolts that hold the pump to the engine using the holes in the pulley and remove the pump from your car. After mounting it back in the vehicle, seal the pump with the three bolts and tighten them to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). Put the power steering hoses back, place the serpentine belt and then check and refill the fluid as you add it.
