How to Service a MAP Sensor on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

The Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor can be serviced by first removing the air cleaner lid and makeup air hose and then taking off the negative battery cable. After that, disconnect the electrical connector from the MAP sensor, remove the screws and take out the sensor. During installation, put the sensor into the intake manifold so the O-ring seal remains in good shape. Fasten the plastic manifold screws to 2 N.m (16 oz of torque), attach the sensor's electric connector, put on the negative battery cable, follow by adding the air cleaner lid and attaching the makeup air hose.
