How to Maintain and Fix a Tie Rod End on 2007 Chrysler Sebring?

Before working on the outer tie rod end, lift the vehicle, hold it up safely on axle stands, take off the mounting nuts and remove the tire and wheel. First, unscrew the nut on the stud holding the outer tie rod end to the knuckle, while you hold the end stud tight with a wrench and release it. Remove the outer tie rod end from the knuckle by using Remover, Special Tool 9360. Count the rotations you make when taking out the outer tie rod, so you can duplicate this count when installing which helps receive the proper alignment. Last, remove the outer tie rod from the inner tie rod.
