2007 Dodge Dakota A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Install and Service an A/C Hose in an HVAC System on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: Be sure to match the recommended refrigerant oil level in the engine before fitting the A/C suction line. Before adding refrigerant oil when replacing more than one component, check the Refrigerant Oil Capacities chart. Always swap out the O-ring seals and gaskets on a refrigerant line if you ever open it to make sure leaks don't occur. In the engine compartment, fit the A/C suction line (5) and clip out any tapes or plugs blocking the suction line fittings, accumulator and compressor ports. Put a clean film of R-134a refrigerant oil on every new seal, then attach them together with the new seals along the suction line and receive fittings. Join the A/C suction line to the compressor and fasten it with nut (1), applying tightening pressure of 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). After that, link the A/C suction line to the A/C accumulator (6) and fasten it with nut (1) to a torque of 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.). Attach the resonator to the engine, put the negative battery cable back into its place, remove all refrigerant, adjust the refrigerant oil and properly fill the refrigerant again.
