2007 Dodge Dakota Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove the Brake Master Cylinder on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: Pushing down on the brake five times before removing the master cylinder will remove any pressure from the booster. Afterwards, empty the reservoir, then unplug the electric connector for low fluid level. Placing a towel or rag close to the master cylinder outlet is wise, to keep the car safe from brake fluid issues. After that, pull off the three brake lines from the master cylinder and then remove the four nuts holding it in place. Last, while carefully separating the master cylinder and reservoir from the booster, keep them straight and in line with the front of the booster so the output rod from the booster does not hit anything and isn't dislodged.
