2007 Jeep Commander Parking Brake Cable Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Rear Parking Brake Cable for Rear on 2007 Jeep Commander?
A: For rear end service and repair, begin by fitting the cable to the vehicle and holding it with the 2 push pins onto the stabilizer bar bracket. After that, connect the stabilizer bar bushing clamp bolts and guide the park brake cable into the support plate. Done, now fasten the cable from the brake lever to the rear park brakes and set the shoes back correctly. After that, it's time to install the disc brake rotor and the rear caliper and to thread the park brake cables through the floor. Wheels and tires put in place, set the vehicle down and bring the brake cables back to the equalizer. Free the park brake cable and fold away the rear carpet before fitting the rear sill plates and mounting the nuts for the (FDCM) module bracket. Join the (FDCM) module and then replace the rear seat bottom, ending with a check of the parking brake.
