2007 Jeep Liberty Shock Absorber Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Shock Absorber on the Left Side on 2007 Jeep Liberty?
A: At the beginning, disconnect and take out the battery followed by unclipping and moving the power center away from where it is connected. Now, take away the battery tray and remove the battery temperature sensor. Remove the four nuts that hold the upper mounting point of the shocks, lift and support the vehicle, take off the left tire and remove the wheel. After that, unbolt the lower ball joint, then the stabilizer link and lastly the metal bracket that holds the stud you just disconnected. Apply remover C-4150A to break apart the lower ball joint from the lower control arm, after which you can turn the lower control arm downward to reach underneath. Take the clevis bracket from the shock and get the shock assembly out of the vehicle. If there's an issue, take out the spring from the shock.
