2007 Jeep Wrangler Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Properly Install a Brake Master Cylinder on 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
A: If you are replacing the master cylinder, ensure you bleed it before actually installing the new one. Wipe the top of the cylinder where it joins the brake booster. Be certain to ensure an O-ring sits at the interface where the master and booster cylinders meet. Attach the master cylinder to the brake booster studs and screw in the mounting nuts until they reach 17 Nm (151 in. lbs.). Link the brake lines to the master cylinder and tighten them until you reach 19 Nm (168 in. lbs.). Next, put the fluid level connector on the reservoir and bleed the whole base brake system.
