2007 Jeep Wrangler ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install and Reprogram an ABS Control Module for Antilock Brakes on 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Before installing the Hydraulic Control Assembly for Antilock Brakes, make sure that if you replaced the ABM, you must reprogram it with a scan tool. Installing the HCU/ABM onto the mounting studs comes first. Following that, use mounting nuts and a bolt to secure everything, then tighten them to 11.5 Nm (102 in. lbs.). Secure the brake lines to the HCU and tighten them with a torque of 19 Nm (170 in. lbs.). Press the release to connect the wiring harness to the control module. Install the master cylinder and after that securely connect the negative battery cable back to the battery terminal. Make sure to bleed the ABS brake system after all other steps are done.
