2008 Jeep Wrangler Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Brake Master Cylinder on 2008 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Before replacing the Brake Master Cylinder, empty and drain out the brake fluid from the reservoir. At this point, unplug the wires from the fluid level electrical connector that forks with the main body 3 from inside the reservoir 2. After that, get rid of the brake lines 4 that lead from the master cylinder. Afterward, remove the mounting nuts 5 from the master cylinder and take it out from the vehicle. Pull off the cylinder cover and remove the rest of the coolant from the system. Should the master cylinder reservoir need service, refer to the Fluid Reservoir/Removal procedure found elsewhere.
